Professional Experience:
Lowell founded Wenzel Engineering, Inc. in 1990. He has over 30 years of design experience. As the Principal-in-Charge, he oversees the Structural design of commercial and industrial buildings. He has extensive experience with remodeling, innovative building repair, and design of unique structures.
Lowell has been a college instructor in Engineering Mechanics; he designed spacecraft for the McDonnell Douglas Astronautics Corp.; and he worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, European Division in Frankfort, West Germany.
Professional Affiliations:
Lowell serves on the Planning Committee for Soils and Geotechnical Engineer's Conference and the Structural Engineer's Seminar Series, both sponsored by the University of Minnesota. He is also the chairman of the Hennepin County Designer Selection Committee. Lowell is one of five engineers in the country who reviewed the proposed changes to the "Guide Specifications for Design Loads of Metal Flagpoles" which was published by the American National Standards Institute. He also reviewed the final draft of the International Building Code 2000.

Professional Experience:
Steve’s design experience encompasses all types of structural systems and components, with an emphasis on steel,
and includes complex building projects with multiple phases and bid packages, using a variety of delivery methods.
Steve leads projects, design, and client development efforts. His major focus in providing structural engineering
services is directing construction level detailing, while customizing each project to fit the client’s budget, schedule,
and design goals. Steve further concentrates on providing construction engineering services, such as soil retention
systems, ground and rock anchors, cofferdams, temporary erection, bracing design, and shoring design. Additionally,
Steve provides expert services to legal teams related to structural deficiencies. As a principal of the firm, Steve is
responsible for guiding company operations and establishing internal processes.

Patricia Cole,
P.E., Senior Project Engineer

Professional Experience:
Patty has over 20 years of experience in building design and construction related engineering. She has extensive experience with concrete, steel, masonry, post-tensioned concrete, and timber construction.
As a Senior Project Engineer, Patty is responsible for all project -related design as well as supervision of production of construction documents. She is also responsible for scheduling and reviewing work for the structural department.

Tracy has been with Wenzel Engineering since 1998. As our Office Manager she is responsible for all the daily office functions; including but not limited to: accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, payroll, taxes, project administration and benefits administration.
Kory Cwikla, Engineer In Training

Professional Experience:
Kory has been with Wenzel Engineering since 2005. As an associate project manager, he is responsible for design engineering, construction administration, and production of contract documents in conjunction with Lowell Wenzel, Steve Rivard, and Patty Cole.
Kory has experience in the structural design and renovation of industrial, commercial, and residential projects utilizing concrete, steel, masonry, and timber construction. Experience in construction engineering includes temporary and permanent earth retention systems, structural shoring, scaffolding, and temporary construction structures and formwork.
Kimberly Larsen, Senior CAD Technician

Professional Experience:
Kim has been with Wenzel Engineering since 2004.
As a senior CAD technician Kim is responsible for the production of construction drawings, and assisting in the coordination of project design with clients. Kim has over 12 years of experience using Auto CAD.
