St Andrews Dining Hall
- Spirit in the Pines
Located within the boundaries of 1200 acres nestled in the pine forests of Northern Minnesota, a log Dining Hall was constructed for Spirit in the Pines Lutheran Church Camp. In keeping with the beauty of the natural setting, this beautiful facility utilizes Glulam timber construction for the exposed roof trusses, and traditional log construction for the exterior walls.
In order to increase the size of unobstructed spaces within the Lower Level, open-web wood trusses were used, combining the technological benefits of modern construction with the aesthetics of traditional-style architecture. The facility provides a warm, inviting Dining Hall with stone fireplace and large, covered deck on the Main Floor, with Game Room facilities in the Lower Level. The building's concrete block construction provides a much-needed storm shelter facility for campers.
