The Phoenix on the River

This is a multi wale soldier pile retaining wall. The site was cut into the side of a hill. The foundation bears on rock, which required the soldier piles to cantilever from the lowest wale to support the bottom of the excavation.

The towercrane for the site was supported by micropiles. Due to site constraints the pile cap for the tower crane cantilevered over the top of the lagging at the top of the wall.
